• mulch perennials, and seasonally mulch annuals for proper slug management
• install low-water use irrigation systems

Vancouver area lawns are becoming increasingly infested with European Chafer Beetle. While this reduces your need to mow, your yard can look like its been used for a monster truck show. We recommend replacing your lawn with one of these alternative low-maintenance ground covers:

clover   kinnickinnick   creeping thyme
sedum   herniara glabra

The variety you choose will depend on considerations of colour, height, drought-tolerance, amount of foot traffic.
